I’ve been trying to learn Korean for years to understand the true meaning of BTS song lyrics and the essence of them. I always struggled because I felt like most online lessons/ books were very robotic and lacked heart, if that makes sense. Since starting the lessons with Sophie, I feel like I understand the language and feel confident speaking it for the first time. I now try reading ingredients on my skin care or watch dramas without subtitles and I am grateful for that confidence.

I just wanted to say 감사합니다 쏘피 쌤! Like others in the group I started learning Korean using duo lingo. Didn’t feel like I ever got far and it became really confusing really quickly! I managed to learn the alphabet and that was pretty much it! I never expected to learn so much in the past 10 weeks! I didn’t expect to be able to understand some of the words used in k dramas and in the V lives (and get so excited when I do!).

I’m so glad I stumbled across Sophie - I thought ‘this is a sign’.

Sophie Ssaem is based in Sydney and can help you understand the Korean language with translating what Australians do VS how Koreans communicate! I've had the best time learning Korean with Sophie. She is incredibly patient, classes are always interesting and it's always up to you and how much time you can invest into learning Hanguel! I've tried boring textbooks, Duolingo/Papago and Google translate. I've found ModuKorean helped me learn and understand the Korean language in a way that really sticks with me.
